Telehealth (Internet Video-Chat) visits with patients from Hawaii, California, Florida or New York. Only 5% of all clinical psychologists in the U.S. are Board-Certified and Dr. Levine is one of them! Why should you be concerned or care if the person you select is Board-Certified? If you are interested (and you should be before you entrust your important personal issues and concerns to someone you do not know), take a moment and read why at:
https://abpp.org/Applicant-Information/Specialty-Boards/Clinical-Psychology.aspx
Very few clinical psychologists have achieved "Board Certified" status simply because it is not required by any State to obtain a license as a psychologist. You would probably think twice before seeing a surgeon who was not Board-Certified and you should consider the same qualifications when selecting a psychologist. You are certainly entitled to know if your psychologist has earned the highest professional distinction in their field.
Dr. Levine earned a Ph.D. (NOT Psy.D.) degree from the APA (American Psychological Association) Accredited doctoral program at Hofstra University in NY.
Dr. Levine then completed a 2-year Post Doctoral Fellowship in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. Many psychologists simply begin treating patients fresh out of graduate school, while some choose to undergo Post-Doctoral Fellowship training first. Again, this is not required in order to obtain a license, so many simply skip this advanced training.
Prior to moving to LA in 2011, Dr. Levine served as the Chief Psychologist at Mt Sinai South Nassau Medical Center in NY. He achieved the very extraordinary distinction of serving on the Editorial Board of the prestigious Journal of Behavior Therapy & Experimental Psychiatry.
Dr. Levine worked as a Clinical Psychologist for the hit TV series "Hoarders" on the A&E Television Network. Shortly after arriving in California, Dr. Levine began serving as a Clinical Psychologist at the UCLA School of Medicine. He specializes in anxiety, panic, depression, relationship, pain-related, stress, OCD and post-traumatic disorders plus social, marital, sleep and assertiveness problems. His approach is Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.
You will find his approach to dealing with your concerns to be sensitive, competent, caring, concerned and supportive. He offers TELEHEALTH (Video-Chat) INTERNET & PHONE SESSIONS to residents of CA, HI, FL and NY, the 4 States in which he is licensed. You will have the added security of knowing that he has 30+ years of experience as a clinical psychologist. To further protect your privacy, you will NEVER be forced to speak with some unknown and impersonal secretary, answering service or receptionist. Therefore, he will always answer the phone himself. When you call, you will speak only with Dr. Levine.

Additional Comments: |
Once you have satisfied yourself as to the psychologist's qualifications, background and experience, you will be in a much better position to make an informed and reasonable decision as to whom to trust with your very important personal concerns and issues. Simply selecting a name at random from a list without doing at least SOME background checking of your own, is a disservice to you and your well-being. You deserve the best and owe it to yourself to be an informed consumer of medical and psychological services. |
