Practice Description: |
Are there issues in your life related to your primary relationship, work competence, social activities and family? Do these issues create roadblocks and obstacles that cause you to feel depressed, anxious, angry and frustrated?
I have had thirty plus years of experience working with individuals, couples, teens and families who come from all walks of life. Members of the gay community have also been a significant part of my practice.
I understand the pressures and demands that accompany many a career path. I have worked with career professionals, lawyers, clergy, stock and bond brokers, and traders, bankers, IT technicians, law-enforcement officers and personnel, marketing and human resource specialists, and trainees. Whether you are a state or federal employee, factory or assembly line worker, independent business owner, or a contractor, we all have similar issues. I try to help you raise your interpersonal growth and professionalism to the highest level possible.
Is stress responsible for many of your issues? Can these issues create feelings that affect other aspects of your life? Do you try to resolve these issues but end up with little or no lasting progress? Are you left disappointed, blaming yourself or others?
I have the expertise that can address issues related to a stressful lifestyle. Stress brings anxiety and depression. Stress has no boundaries, but all who make an effort to resolve these related problems can learn to manage and/or eliminate these issues. Who knows you better than you do, and what you don't know you can learn. This is how you can take charge of your life and make it better, more enjoyable.
So many of us experience these same merry-go-round difficulties. You need to know that you are very capable of resolving and managing these issues for a better more satisfying life. Understanding your individual strengths and abilities are essential to making the most of your opportunities and building your self confidence and personal satisfaction

In therapy, together we will look at obstacles and roadblocks and begin to find ways to remove or manage them. We will employ individualized approaches to help you gain the self esteem, confidence, and emotional stability you desire. Making choices that work, expanding your perception, thinking differently and putting these into practice begin to improve your feelings and behavior. Judgment of self and others is another state of mind that needs attention.
In all of this, one extremely important part of any lifestyle is the ability to see and appreciate and embrace a needed sense of humor. We need to find ways not to take ourselves to seriously especially when stressed. This perspective helps in reducing and managing stress and in just feeling better. Humor just helps take the edge off.
Successful therapy achieves lasting satisfaction and self-confidence. This happens when we expand your self-awareness and self-acceptance. Self-awareness and self-acceptance are what bring you the quality and richness in life that no matter what happens can sustain you and give you the strength and confidence you need to remain emotionally stable and secure. |
