Practice Description:
Given these extraordinary times, many of us are experiencing a level of anxiety and stress that can be difficult to manage. When this type of experience persists for longer than we are used to, we can become concerned about our capacity to cope with it all. It might be helpful to keep in mind that this is in no way unusual or abnormal given the serious nature of these events and how often we are feeling powerless, unable to predict or control these events. Although life will eventually normalize, there are some things that we can do to help restore an experience of control in our daily lives and this can in turn significantly reduce the most intense levels of the stress and restore a sense of confidence that we can cope and get through this crisis.

The American Psychological Association has provided several tips and guides to help us do just that.
Click on the links below for a review of some of their suggestions and forward them to anyone you think could benefit from this information.

My practice is dedicated to providing the highest quality and professionally competent psychotherapy to adults, couples and adolescents with compassion and respect for each client’s humanity and individuality. I believe in a collaborative process where we work together to determine what approach will be utilized to give you the best opportunity to successfully address your concerns. I provide clients with information and education about a variety of treatment orientations for a wide range of problems or challenges. This allows you to actively participate in an informed manner in choosing an approach that we determine is likely to be the most beneficial.
