Gottman Method Couples Therapy
Practice Description: You know something is wrong in your relationship if you're fighting all the time, calling each other names or you are not emotionally and physically intimate with each other. But you can survive affairs, learn how to communicate, and how to argue so you both win. I am a Level 3 Gottman Method therapist, trained to provide tools for couples to not only survive their marriage but to flourish in it.

Let me help you assess what's wrong and what's right in your relationship with the Gottman Relationship Checkup. This online evaluation is only offered to clients of therapists trained in Gottman Couples Therapy. It's very extensive and produces lots of information about the strengths and weakness of your relationship. Your first couples session will last an hour and a half long. The second session, I will meet with you individually. Thereafter, most sessions are one hour. It's been my experience that couples that are committed to the therapy process and their marriage can usually "graduate" in under ten sessions.

I work with two kinds of couples: some are on the brink of divorce but want to save their marriage. Others feel their marriages are going stale, fear they are drifting apart, and want to learn how to rekindle their emotional connection and avoid relationship traps.

After training and specializing in marriage counseling for over 10 years, I use the most successful method for treating couples that I've found: the Gottman Method Couples Therapy system. These "nuts-and-bolts" techniques will give you tools to deepen friendship and intimacy, to manage conflicts and "resolvable problems" and dialogue about "gridlocked" ones.

Some couples come to me for help getting over a rough patch in a good relationship, while others come with their marriage on the line. Emotional affairs are an increasing problem and a particular interest of mine.

Either way, I can help you to understand what’s working and not working in your relationship, to learn new skills for handling problems, and to rediscover why you fell in love to begin with.

I look forward to hearing from you and starting on a journey of healing.
