Practice Description: I bring a unique perspective to my counseling practice. It is a gift to be able to point my clients towards their innate health via three Principals (Mind, Thought, and Consciousness) that, when understood, taps into their natural wisdom and common sense. This is an inside out process that heightens awareness to bring forth new insightful thinking. Flow Thought, that is in the moment, solves problems, enhances relationships, brings good feelings of joy, compassion, and satisfaction for a meaningful life. This is an experiential, not an intellectual process. It is rich, fresh, and rewarding because it is the genuine self.

There is a healthy thought process within each of us that produces higher levels of well-being and healing insight while working with past traumas and negative emotions. In my practice I help clients understand and use their own natural mental health to reduce stress and live from deeper positive feelings for a happy life.

Rather than identifying and categorizing the presence or absence of symptoms of illness, my practice seeks to uncover the psychological health in my clients. Together we explore simple principles underlying an understanding of human psychological well-being.

It is always a joy to have a client say, after the first session, “Wow, I didn’t know I would feel so much better today.”

I also do international relief work as the Executive Director of One Village at a Time. So international students, public health students and professionals and other workers from NGOs will feel quite at home here.

I also believe that everyone should have access to good mental health practitioners. I take most insurances and will submit the claims. My daughter says I'm a Unicorn in DC because I do accept insurance, but it levels the field so that everyone can access a well trained and experienced clinician.
