Practice Description: |
I accompany individuals in their painful struggle to respond to psychological suffering. Whether this suffering has been created by a crisis or has been a lifelong pattern, its destructive effect on one's self-image, work, relationships, and creativity can be profound. At the same time, it also offers a path for self-discovery and transformation.
I work in a variety of ways, from short term psychotherapy for problem-solving of a particular issue to longer term depth psychological work involving an awareness of the unconscious material affecting one's life. As a Jungian psychoanalyst I am especially attentive to the value and purpose of dreams and to the unconscious information behind the provoking experiences of the present and of the past; exploring both of these have the enriching effect of broadening and deepening one's sense of self and, thus, living and responding to life more fully. My goal is to provide a safe container for this work and to help the person find his or her own unique answers to the struggle.
