Practice Description: Do personal difficulties interfere with your success or happiness? Imagine how it would feel to work through your concerns to achieve a greater sense of fulfillment and well-being. Whether your challenges are new or longstanding, your search for a therapist is a courageous first step toward empowering you to overcome these obstacles and move forward with your life. Your choice of therapist is a key factor in facilitating your progress. Above all else, it is important that you feel connected to, understood, and respected by the person who guides you through this process. We will work at a pace that feels comfortable to you.

As a licensed psychologist with two decades of experience with adults, couples and families, I help people make progress toward individual goals, enjoy more fulfilling relationships, manage emotions, improve academic/occupational performance, and build parenting skills. Areas of specialty include anxiety, depression/mood disorders, coping with life transitions, relationship difficulties, stress management, and ADHD/learning disorders.

I invite you to contact me at 646-319-7498 to schedule a consultation so that together we can determine how to help you get on track.

Additional Comments: We all have times when we feel emotionally overwhelmed. Life is challenging, and sometimes circumstances (or our perception of the circumstances) flood our internal resources and make it hard to respond productively. Friends and family can be supportive, but it is an entirely different experience to work with a non-judgmental, impartial third party who has clinical expertise and who is focused exclusively on your needs.

Psychotherapy may be indicated if your feelings or behavior are causing you significant distress, are interfering with your daily life, and/or are preventing you from reaching your goals. If you are feeling "stuck," psychotherapy can help to clarify your concerns and identify patterns of behavior so you can address problems more directly. If you've already identified obstacles to your progress, psychotherapy can build your problem-solving skills and help you develop strategies for moving forward. No matter where you are, I will meet you there and encourage you to take the next steps in your growth.
