Practice Description: |
I have over 10 years experience working with individuals and couples. My area of expertise includes working with ethnic and multicultural population and addressing issues related to couples in inter-racial marriages, struggles with cultural assimilation and family relationship dynamics. I speak 5 languages and I am keenly aware of the specific issues faced by Indian-Americans in particular and Asian Americans and Latinos in general, especially with regards to struggles with personal and cultural identity.
My areas of interest also includes helping women with anxiety, depression and stress that arises from various life transitions (relationships, marriage, divorce, birth of a child). My clients value the insights, compassion and genuine respect I have for their struggles and my gentle and approachable style.
I draw from various psychotherapy techniques and firmly believe that every one is capable of positive changes in life. My counseling practice stems primarily from a strength-based approach and I am passionate about helping clients achieve their life goals, while validating, supporting and challenging them in a compassionate manner.
I offer both brief and long term models of therapy. I provide tele-therapy (online) via Zoom/Hangouts/Skype in a HIPAA compliant platform.
I serve clients in both Oregon and California.
