Practice Description: |
My warmth, compassion, and humor help to create a sense of trust and safety that encourages and supports your self-exploration and personal growth. I believe that the foundation of your successful therapy experience is the unique and genuine relationship that develops between us.
My interactive style helps you to identify core issues, encouraging effective and timely changes as well as lasting, positive resources to empower you to find solutions to future challenges. I incorporate EMDR Therapy to facilitate safe, effective processing of recent and past traumas, and resolution of current problems you may find yourself stuck in.
As a Counselor-Educator (Adjunct Faculty, Saint Mary's College Graduate Counseling Program) I am informed by cutting edge research in the area of the neurobiology of emotions, adult attachment and empirically validated approaches to couples and relationship therapy.
My extensive experience counseling in public and private schools (elementary-college) provides a unique perspective in my work with families, children and adolescents.
