As a licensed clinical social worker practicing for over 30 years, I have significant experience in working with many types of individuals. I have helped my clients with general anxiety, OCD, panic attacks, depression, life transitions, parenting, grief and family issues. I have specialized training to help couples in every stage of their relationship. I utilize practical techniques and have a relaxed and genuine style. My goal is to make clients feel comfortable and positive about our work together. Over time, people gain more insight into how their issues may have developed from past experiences and becoming more aware of themselves. As a result, clients are able to behave differently and communicate more effectively with others as well.
In addition to working with individuals, I also treat couples and utilize an approach called Imago Relationship Therapy where couples learn to speak and listen to each other in a more conscious and productive way. This reduces conflict and misunderstanding and tends to help partners reach a deeper understanding of each other. It is a very effective and unique approach that most couples find very helpful.
