Practice Description: |
 | I have moved my entire practice online using Zoom, Face Time and phone sessions and am currently accepting new patients. Please contact me to set up a FREE 20-30 minute phone consultation. |
I am a holistic psychotherapist and licensed clinical social worker, in practice for the past 28 years and a Kripalu Yoga teacher since 1999.
Despite many years in practice, I continue to be amazed by the strong yearning that we humans have to heal, grow and transform! My holistic and body-centered approach to treatment helps individuals who seek to connect with that desire to open, heal and become freed of attitudes, misperceptions and habits that bind, confine and diminish their capacity for happiness, contentment and peace.
I see patients for day and evening appointments at my offices in Queens and Garden City, Long Island and offer a FREE 20 minute phone consultation to answer your questions.
Using a mindful approach to healing, I invite each patient to cultivate awareness of what is and teach them how to drop into a deeper place of knowing where insight and wisdom reside.
In an atmosphere of unconditional acceptance and safety, I invite my patients to release the need for judgment, drop into the moment and become present with what is, from a place of heartfelt compassion and loving kindness.
Within this healing space, we explore what is happening now, how it affects your life experience and in what ways you can make conscious shifts to vastly improve the quality and dynamic nature of your life today.
Overall, my approach is positive and present-centered. Emphasis is placed on exploring past experience when unresolved issues continue to interfere with your vitality, health and inner peace. I view my relationship with each patient as a partnership in which we both have active and important roles to play in order for success to be possible!
In the Fall of 2014, I completed a 3 year advanced clinical training in Somatic Experiencing, a body-centered approach to therapy and healing that has proven effective in helping patients to access the remnants of difficult or traumatic experiences trapped in the body and mind and to release and resolve them.
I am one of a handful of people in the area who are certified in this powerful methodology.
I have recently introduced Emotional Freedom Technique within patient sessions and will be adding biofeedback into my practice soon.
I specialize in helping individuals and organizations in the health field to reduce stress and reconnect with their inspiration and purpose for serving others. Using a unique wellness-based curriculum that I’ve designed, I teach health professionals about the psychology of the patient experience and share important strategies for effective communication. When these two critical components are combined and implemented successfully, the quality of patient care and the level of staff satisfaction on the job both significantly improve.
I offer a free 15-20 minute consultation and encourage you to contact me to discuss your concerns and what you are looking for in a therapist. If I am not the right professional for you and I know someone else who might be, I will be glad to point you in the right direction!
I am happy to be of service to you and hope you will consider contacting me for more information. Thank you very much for your interest in my work and all the best on your journey!
