Do you suffer from chronic depression, anxiety, relational problems, and medically unexplained symptoms? Would you like to go beyond coping with your symptoms and get to the root of your difficulties for deep, lasting change?
New clients often comment that they have been in therapy before with little, if any, deep lasting change. This is quite unfortunate. Good therapy is a delicate balancing act: With too little challenge, not much can be achieved; With too much challenge, high anxiety and early drop out can result. I am extensively trained in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), an evidence-based approach. I also teach this approach to other psychotherapists. Together we can take and active and balanced approach to help cultivate self-compassion, self-awareness, and emotional tolerance that leads to healing.
