 | Video and phone sessions |
Dr. Kardong is Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University Medical Center. She is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. She is Board Certified. Dr. Kardong is licensed in 20 states where she can provide virtual and phone sessions. She treats a broad spectrum of psychological, emotional and psychiatric issues using a variety of therapeutic strategies. Psychotherapy and/or psychopharmacology are options. DBT and mindfulness training are also available. She has a warm, empathic, interactive and patient-focused style.
Different strategies may be used for different kinds of problems. A practical, solution-focused style is used to help clients resolve current issues. In-depth exploratory therapy may be used to promote personal growth, insight and self awareness. This may include examining unresolved issues from the past that may be causing unhealthy patterns in the present and interfering with your ability to live a fuller, more meaningful life. A personalized care plan will be discussed in your first session to ensure that your care meets your specific needs.
