Telehealth (Video/Phone) Therapy
Practice Description: Psychotherapy helps to relieve suffering through awareness, understanding, and personal change. By providing a safe and reliable setting to get to know all the different parts of ourselves, therapy allows us to integrate them in a harmonious way.

I would describe my own style as related, grounding, and creative. I try to help clients understand their role in the process, and what they can do to make their time in therapy effective. My first book, I'm Working On It In Therapy: How To Get The Most Out Of Psychotherapy, explains ten tools that you can use in your sessions to achieve the change and growth that you are looking for in therapy.

My most recent book, The Healthy Compulsive: Healing Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder and Taking the Wheel of the Driven Personality, serves as a compassionate, positive, practical and research-based guide for people who are perfectionistic, workaholic and Type A. You can visit my blog on the subject at

Whether you are looking for relief from distress, or trying to understand yourself better and create a more meaningful life, therapy can be helpful. My own approach to this is to use the current problem as an opportunity to better understand what is happening unconsciously, and to promote both healing and growth. Because, while anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and other psychological problems may be a result of past or current circumstances--they may also be your own unconscious effort to find a new, more satisfying way of living for the future.

My post-graduate training as a Certified Jungian Analyst has given me the tools to help you understand not just why you are having the problem, but also what you may be trying to work out through the issue. When we live in a way that is unbalanced, or leaves out certain parts of our personality, it can lead to a sense of despair or alienation.

I work with individual adults 18 and over.
