Practice Description: I am a Solution Focused Therapist providing therapy for a wide range of mental disorders and problems to adults, couples, children, and families. Having recovered myself from Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Agoraphobia, and Anorexia Nervosa, I know personally and professionally what it takes to recover and feel better. My approach is positive, interactive, and collaborative. I work very hard to ensure a positive therapy outcome and offer long term solutions and healing for the issues that brought you to seek help. I offer Individual therapy, Marriage and Relationship counseling, child and adolescent therapy, and Family therapy.

I have advanced training in Harm Reduction and use it in my work with substance abuse, eating disorders, and relationship counseling.

I have experience with many ethnic, religious, and cultural groups and understand the importance of cultural traditions in marriages and families.

Having worked with the GLBT population for many years, I understand the issues faced in today's society for themselves as well as their children and families.

Additional Comments: If you or someone you care about is in need of professional help, call several therapists to learn how each one will work with the issues you are seeking assistance with as well as to get a sense of how comfortable you are with the therapist. Therapy is an important investment of your time, energy, and resources so it is important to find a therapist you are comfortable with and who is easy to reach. Prompt returns of phone calls and emails is essential. You need to know that if you find it necessary to contact them between sessions, they are available. Studies show that the most important element in positive therapy outcome is the "therapeutic alliance," which is how well comfortable, understood, and supported you feel by the therapist.
