As we journey through life's stages, we encounter peaks, valleys and adverse circumstances that will throw us off course. Choosing the high road can be difficult especially when we are stressed, anxious, facing relational problems, parenting problems and difficulties on the workplace. I will teach you coping skills to deal with these unforeseen situations and even with those that are most anticipated. I subscribe to a proactive approach to therapy; focusing on the individual's strengths, without neglecting practical and real issues of human frailties.
I will guide you with setting realistic short and long term goals, while setting the stage for your active participation in decision-making and problem resolution taks. My interventions will be supported by the use of cognitive behavior therapy, insight oriented, psychodynamic, and a spiritual approach to healing.
I am a licensed bilingual/Spanish speaking therapist, serving a multi-cultural and multi-ethnic population that so much characterizes this segment of Brooklyn.I have had extensive clinical experience as a licensed psychotherapist in New York State: over twenty five years in clinical work, thirteen of which, have been in private practice.
