Practice Description: |
Dr. Hanson specializes in providing comprehensive psychological evaluations for adults, adolescents, and children, beginning at age 6 years, in a private practice setting. Evaluations completed by Dr. Hanson are thorough, informative, and have been utilized by other psychologists, psychiatrists, schools, and members of the legal profession to more fully understand the presenting concerns of a client, to aid in diagnosis, and to efficiently guide treatment. A particular area of interest for Dr. Hanson are adults, adolescents, and children who are concerned about their possibly experiencing an Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and who can benefit from a comprehensive understanding of their experience. The results of evaluations completed by Dr. Hanson have also been utilized by clients for specific needs in establishing eligibility for disability and in requesting accommodations and modifications for older adolescents and adults with standardized testing services (ACT, SAT, GRE, LSAT).
In therapy, Dr. Hanson has worked successfully with many adult men and women, adolescents and children who have ADHD (ADD) as a primary challenge or as a co-existing contributor to their experience. In addition to his therapeutic interest and specialty in treating ADHD (ADD), he works with individuals who are experiencing mood, and anxiety disorders.
