Telehealth (Video/Phone) Therapy
Practice Description:
Due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) I am offering tele health options via Zoom for all my current patients and for new referrals.

Using a combination of professional and personal skills that include insight, practicality, empathy and warmth, I help people understand and resolve their difficulties and struggles with personal relationships, work, family, and/or career issues --- and to find and maximize their strengths. People find psychotherapy helpful both to resolve deep seated difficulties from the past and to make headway with the more immediate issues in their present day lives.

I see people from a wide variety of backgrounds. Some of the issues people bring to therapy have to do with depression and anxiety. Others are broad ranging life situations and transitions, including finishing school, career changes and challenges, marital or relationship issues, loneliness, approaches to retirement, dealing with the challenges of caring for aging family members.

My approach is interactive, using a psychoanalytic context to understand current difficulties. While clients want to better deal with long-standing issues rooted in the past, they also want present - oriented help resolving these troubles. I've been in practice for over 25 years, and I work with people in a wide range of life situations - business executives, physicians, academics, homemakers, scientists, students, and artists.

I have a doctoral degree in clinical psychology, and post doctoral training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy from the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute.

I charge within a fee range that is typical for my level of training and experience.
