Practice Description: |
Have you been harmed by religious experiences? Maybe you're not sure if you have, or what to think about what happened. You maybe have heard terms like "church hurt" or "spiritual trauma" but aren't sure if it applies to your story.
It's okay if you don't know what to make of your experiences. You can still have a sense of how they're affecting your life now. Perhaps you're coping with disordered eating, or you have trouble committing or setting boundaries in personal and professional relationships.
If any of this resonates with you, I'd like to help. I use an approach called Internal Family Systems, also known as "parts" work. I'll help you identify the conflicting parts inside of yourself and learn how to work with them. For example, if you moved far away from home to get away from your family, but you still miss them and wish things were different? We can talk about that.
Ultimately, the goal of my work with any client is for you to improve your relationship with yourself. Rather than constantly fighting with or shaming yourself, hopefully you can finally find peace. Check out my website at www.bjonescounseling.com and schedule a free phone consultation today.
