Currently, Anne is treating clients through teletherapy only. She has found ART, EMDR and Brainspotting to be incredibly helpful in healing the affects of traumas, anxieties, depression, phobias and adjusting to the significant changes in the world and our everyday lives during this tumultuous time. Sometimes clients just want to talk because of isolation and the unknown future. Anne is very easy to talk with! |

Are you feeling stuck and don't know why? Are you ready to make some changes in your life? I am an experienced, caring and intuitive counselor/coach who helps people have better relationships--with others and with themselves. You do not have to do this alone. Together, we determine how best to achieve your goals, even if you do not quite know what those goals are yet. I have helped many clients heal from life's blows, medical/dental trauma, deaths of many types, childhood issues, parenting challenges, low self esteem/confidence, anger, regret/shame, underachievement and other self-defeating patterns.
I will help you identify the areas of concern quickly, and collaboratively, we will find solutions and motivation ( if need be) to change. In my work with clients, I weave in many of the innovative brain based therapies which enable people to move through their discomfort and anxiety faster than using traditional talk therapy only. I am trained in EFT ( tapping), Brainspotting and certified in EMDR and A.R.T. which used in combination with talk therapy provide a vehicle for rapid processing of "stuck" negative beliefs, which often serve as blocks to becoming more of the person you were born to be. These modalities turbo charge therapy often resulting in achieving your goals in a much faster time frame.
I hear from my clients that they enjoy ways of working that are unique to their own individual personalities, dreams, goals, needs and aspirations. They also tell me that I am very easy to talk to. So, if you like the sound of being released from your emotional and psychological blocks and doing this with someone with whom you feel comfortable, we may be a good fit! Feel free to shoot me an email or give me a call to chat and/or set up an initial appointment. I look forward to our first contact. And thanks for taking the time to read this!
Life before my private practice includes: High school teacher and swim team coach, Hennepin County clinical psychologist, life coach, and director of a children's crisis home. I am a history buff, I enjoy music of almost all types, genealogy, being in nature, visiting family in Indianapolis, and working out ( yoga, hiking, walking, swimming) I am a parent of three adult children. Although I regretfully don't have pets, I love hearing about these important family members!
