I believe that one of the most important aspects of therapy is the relationship between the therapist and the client. I feel that my role as a therapist is to create an environment of trust and support in which my clients can safely explore areas of concern. Using a positive approach to therapy, I work with my clients to uncover their existing strengths and resources. My goal is to help them feel understood and affirmed, as I believe acceptance is fundamental to human development and change.
I am always optimistic that it is never too late to make changes and live life more fully and happily. Because I have made career and life changes, I understand the difficulties people face and bring that perspective to my work.
I am a licensed clinical social worker with broad-based experience in working with adolescents, individual adults, couples, and families. I respect individual differences and, therefore, I use an eclectic approach in therapy, working together with the client to best serve their needs.
