| Practice Description: |
Are you feeling unbalanced in your life? Are you wanting to take personal growth to the next level? Transformation is possible! In my practice, I build on individual strengths and past successes, utilizing Solution-Focused and Mindfulness Based approaches to solve life's challenges. I utilize many neurolinguistic programming (NLP) techniques and hypnotherapy techniques to tap into the unconscious mind thus removing emotional blocks and/or limiting beliefs that are impeding my client's personal growth. I empower my clients to overcome the "stuck in the quick sand" feeling and allow them to meet their life goals based on their own definition of success.
Speciality areas include: Applying traditional & alternative approaches to overcome addiction (food, drugs and alcohol), Creating balance by connecting to core values, Reducing self-sabotaging behavior, Increasing self-esteem/Improving body image, Overcoming emotional eating, Diminishing depression and/or anxiety, Reducing people pleasing behavior, Setting healthier boundaries, Coping with grief/loss
I also provide balance and/or sober living coaching, which differs from psychotherapy. Life coaching is highly pro-active and goal oriented. This is an alternative for those who are looking for a way to meet specific goals.
My approach is one where I work in collaboration with my clients and I assist them in meeting their goals and finding balance in their lives by helping them to connect to their core values. I meet the client where he or she is at this point in life, but also focus on past experiences that may influence life decisions and transitions.
I offer nurturing and nonjudgmental therapy and coaching in a confidential setting. I structure the treatment to accommodate my clients' schedules and individual needs. When appropriate, I use a mind-body-spirit approach. By living a more holistic life, I believe a sense of balance can be created that will reduce vulnerability to crises.
My philosophy is that both therapy and life coaching should be targeted, timely, and temporary. The therapy or life coaching services should be targeted for a specific challenge that an individual is hoping to overcome in life. The services are provided at the time when individuals are motivated to make life changes. It is a temporary goal, meaning the goal is not to make the individual a perpetual client. Instead, I work to empower the client so that he or she can apply skills learned in therapy and life coaching, into his or her everyday life experience. Finding the right therapist or life coach for you can feel overwhelming. I encourage you to contact me for a free phone consultation so that we can determine if we are a good match to facilitate the process of accomplishing your goals.
