Dr. Maria Darcy is a Licensed Psychologist and Certified Sex Therapist practicing in Orlando. Dr. Darcy has worked with individuals and couples in the United States and Europe for the past 10 years. Her therapeutic approach is integrative with a strong emphasis on psychodynamic and interpersonal models. These approaches involve an exploration of early family or other significant early relationships and their impact on current relationships. Dr. Darcy incorporates a multicultural understanding into her approach by attending to social and cultural factors (e.g., gender, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation etc.) that impact individuals' experiences and their choices.
Dr. Darcy is committed to a highly collaborative model of psychotherapy in which clients take an active role in the therapeutic process. She strongly believes that building a trusting, safe and respectful relationship with clients is an essential foundation for effective therapeutic work.
Dr. Darcy is a generalist and works with a broad range of issues.
