Are you looking to make a change in your life, but find yourself unsure where to begin? I believe that we all have the capacity for satisfying relationships and emotional well-being, although self-defeating behaviors and beliefs may prevent us from achieving that potential. As a therapist, my role is to assist clients in identifying these patterns and overcoming the barriers that stand in the way of personal growth and fulfillment.
I believe that each individual has unique needs in therapy and therefore strive to be flexible and creative in my work. I work using a psychodynamic framework, but I often employ cognitive techniques, as well as principles from mindfulness meditation and Buddhism, to best help each client achieve his/her specific goals.
I am fluent in Spanish and enjoy working with Spanish-speaking clients around challenges faced in the acculturation process.
