| Practice Description: |
You don't have to wait for an appointment! I am currently accepting new clients right away, and I offer free consultations. I specialize in serving individuals that have survived traumatic life experiences who may be dealing with PTSD or acute stress, and I believe that the client is in the best position to direct the process and pace of his or her therapy. I view you as the expert of your own life, and so I offer therapeutic teachings and treatments from a collaborative approach. I will to listen to you from a non-judgmental and open perspective and offer you unconditional respect and regard. I believe we adapt to experiences to the best of our capabilities, and yet sometimes we don't have enough supports, information, or resources to make optimal decisions. As a result we can end up adopting thoughts, feelings, or a way of living that can be harmful to ourselves and possibly others. From a mindfulness-based cognitive-behavioral framework, I can teach you techniques that can unlock the traps which might be keeping you stuck. I draw on empirically-based treatment modalities, personal creativity, and even wilderness experiences to support healing and help clients create desired changes. I enjoy counseling others, and I hope my services can be of help to you.
