| Practice Description: |
My approach is empathic and supportive to help each client work through their difficulties. I tailor my approach depending on the client's needs. I use aspects of: Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral and Relational Theory. I have experience doing psychotherapy with clients who have a variety of concerns.
In addition to obtaining my Master's from Smith, I completed a 1 year certificate program in Cognitive Therapy at University of Pennsylvania. I also have experience working with women who have eating disorders and body image concerns through my work at The Renfrew Center and Laurel Hill Inn Residential Program. I am the Past President of the South Florida Chapter of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals.
I have also completed a Postgraduate Training in Postpartum Depression at The Postpartum Stress Center in Philadelphia. I have worked in many therapy settings including New York Presbyterian Hospital in White Plains, NY, Faulkner Hospital in Boston, MA, Ft. Hamilton Mental Health Center in Brooklyn, NY and Women's Therapy Center in Philadelphia.
