| Practice Description: |
I am passionate about working with individuals and couples who are deeply curious about themselves, and who genuinely want to move beyond habitual limitations for a fuller, freer life. I draw from two decades of counseling experience to assist you in this journey.
At this time, I am primarily focused on couples and adults who are experiencing significant life transitions, wrestling with anxiety or depression, or are working with the challenges of relationship.
My work draws heavily from Hakomi, a mindfulness-based, somatic oriented therapy, which allows a person or a couple to study the way in which they are organized. The work moves through a gentle process of experimentation in real time into new ways of thinking, feeling, and acting. In this way, therapy is not limited to intellectual speculation or analysis, but rather is grounded through direct experience. It is through this process that new neural pathways can grow, and new perceptions of self, other and the world are developed and lived.
I have been involved in men’s work for two decades. I believe it is essential for men to develop their potential to embody their most mature masculine qualities; where power and strength are not compromised, but instead are informed by a deep love and respect for others and the world, and a heart-felt desire to make a difference
