Practice Description: I’m a psychiatrist with over 23 year’s experience and I practice a humanistic approach called Social therapy. I’ve served as medical director of several mental health centers and have trained and supervised numerous therapists, psychologists, and psychiatrists. I’m an unusual psychiatrist because I believe the traditional medical model approach in psychiatry and therapy can be a serious obstacle to people’s growth and development. Rather than relying on diagnosis, I work to help people grow from their pain so that they can live fuller, more social and happier lives.

I work to build trusting and caring relationships with my clients where we are creating the therapy together. It’s this therapeutic collaboration, both through individual and group work, which supports people to grow, develop, and start to feel better quickly.

We live in a culture that leaves many people feeling alone, overwhelmed, depressed, and stuck. I work with people from all backgrounds and walks of life, and together we build ways to navigate painful life circumstances and to grow and change as well.
