Profession: Psychologist
Services: Psychotherapy/Counseling
Practice Description: I offer psychodynamic psychotherapy for individuals and couples. My work is influenced by contemporary psychoanalytic theory, infant research, as well as, Jungian analytic theory. I work with people to bring about change. Often, this is done through reducing symptoms of anxiety or depression. But beyond this, I also help people to change the areas of their personalities that feel deadened or stuck.

I work with many survivors of childhood trauma. Specifically, those individuals who have experienced ongoing physical or emotional abuse.

My current writings and explorations center on working to heal the fear and shame that engulf these individuals. This work, I am discovering, is quite applicable to many other patients as well.

Unique factors in my work are my focus on uncovering the healing potential of the psyche through a non-directive, supportive approach. I also work quite extensively with dreams and value greatly the ways in which they help us to transform our lives and heal trauma.
