| Practice Description: |
Everyone has the ability to flourish in their lives. I believe that psychotherapy is a way to reconnect with one’s abundance and life purpose in a meaningful way when that connection feels tenuous or lost. As a therapist I support and encourage my clients’ curiosity about all aspects of their being – mind, body, and soul. To this end I offer my clients a therapeutic approach that integrates talk therapy, mindfulness, and somatic awareness.
I am deeply committed to creating a safe and compassionate therapeutic environment where my clients can experience psychological and spiritual healing at their chosen pace. My intention is to help my clients engage in their lives, with their families, and community in a fulfilling and vital way long after therapy is completed. I welcome working with a diversity of counseling clients including children, teens, adults, couples, and families. And I invite my clients to incorporate dreams, drawing, sand tray, writing, and meditation into their work with me.
I hold a Masters in Counseling Psychology from the Pacifica Graduate Institute and I have been trained in a variety of psychological approaches including: psychodynamic, humanistic, Jungian, somatic, Buddhist, and cognitive-behavioral. I have participated in the somatic treatment of trauma training offered by the Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute.
