Men and women are different from the first 10 weeks of life when that initial pulse of testosterone does or does not wash its way over the fetal brain. We may not actually be from Venus but it is undeniable that women experience life’s pleasures and disappointments differently than men. My name is Erin C. Hayes and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University and have been practicing as a psychotherapist for nearly 10 years. It is my passion and mission to empower women of all ages to identify their strengths, overcome their weaknesses and help them find the confidence needed to deal with the stressors of everyday life. Much of my clinical practices follow a Cognitive-Behavioral approach, however, I believe in providing the client with what they need to achieve their personal goals and therefore, I can and will provide different treatment approaches when it is to the benefit of my client.
In addition to my clinical practice I have been a school social worker for nearly 10 years and am skilled at helping parents adapt to having a child with special needs, assisting parents in navigating the special education system, educating parents on effective parenting skills and helping parents develop behavior intervention plans for their children.
