| Practice Description: |
Do you feel like your world has been turned upside down? Everyone faces difficult life-changing events. Sometimes these are changes we didn’t want, and sometimes these are ones we did. Either way, change can make us feel lost, stuck, or without direction—and sometimes even guilty about how we are feeling. I specialize in helping people deal with the pain of loss and difficult changes. I am here to listen to your story and share your pain. I respect your loss, your confusion, and your concerns. I recognize that your pain is real and valid. Give me a call at 713-589-9804
I conduct individual and relationship cousneling with adults and adolescents. My psychotherapy looks at the way you experience and interact with your world. Therapy will consist of a combination of supportive, non-judgmental conversations in which we explore, acknowledge and validate your unique experience and exercises and homework through which you may learn new behaviors and new ways of being. Through therapy we will discover both the external and internal personal barriers that are preventing you from being content and achieving your true potential, as well as your strengths and resources that can assist you in becoming the best you possible.
I am well trained in both personal and career counseling and combine these two perspectives into a holistic approach that looks beyond your "problem" and incorporates your personality and personal strengths to find solutions and help move you to the next step.
I specialize in helping people who feel that they will not be accepted by therapists and am accepting and embracing of a number of "alternative lifestyles." Work with me will focus on the concerns that you have and not on how non-traditional aspects of your life (e.g., polyamory, swinger/open relationship, BDSM, pagan practice, or body modification) are the source of your problems.
