| Practice Description: |
You might be wondering of how you can choose a therapist that's right for you. I would imagine that one of the most important factors for you might be feeling understood. As a psychologist working with individuals, couples, and adolescents, I provide a safe and trusting environment. I do my best to place myself in your situation in order to gain an understanding of your feelings. I take into account that everyone is different and comes from a different background involving it's own issues and your perception of it. I will work with you to make sense of the feelings and behaviors that you have experienced through out your life by using psychoanalytic, psychodynamic, cognitive/cognitive-behavioral and other techniques as needed at any given time throughout your treatment. As an active listener, interacting with you and inquiring you to share, we'll sort through your emotions and behaviors in their present and past context. As a result, you can gain more insight and a better understanding of your emotions and behaviors leading you to your desired change and personal growth.
