| Practice Description: |
My approach to therapy emphasizes insight, self-awareness and empowerment to help people do better and have more gratifying lives. Through an alliance of trust and collaboration, we work together to understand the meanings of symptoms, to get "un-stuck," and to rediscover your capacity to make the meaningful choices that are right for you. Growth occurs in an atmosphere of respect, compassion and a belief in the human capacity for healing, change and reparation.
I've worked extensively with victims of violent crime and sexual abuse, helping people cope with the aftermath of recent incidents and those that occurred long ago. I also see couples facing challenges trying to conceive a child, and those who simply want to enhance their relationship and communication skills.
A special area of interest includes working with creative artists and entertainment industry professionals to increase their confidence and access to creative expression, while identifying and modifying any self-destructive patterns inhibiting professional achievement. For more information about forensic consulting & evaluation, media consulting, and business consulting please see my website.
