| Practice Description: |
My practice is client-centered therapy, whereby I support and assist clients to find their unique answers within themselves. We begin where the client is, and with total acceptance and support, clients find the source of problems and the way to create the changes they seek. This process is greatly enhanced and made especially efficient if the client chooses to use hypnosis in our sessions. Hypnosis, using a technique I call "Regression to Cause," often brings to conscious awareness the "root of the problem." At that point, it is relatively easy to resolve the issue, release the cause, and the subsequent pain, anxiety, or other presenting problem. Awareness leads to resolution, which leads to healing: this belief underlies all I do. Raising your consciousness changes your life; it cannot be otherwise. Hundreds of clients have honored me by allowing me to witness this transformation in them; clients with eating disorders, depression, PTSD, anxiety disorders, phobias, addictions, sexual disorders, self-esteem issues, survivors of incest and rape, those suffering with obsessions or compulsions, and more. Oftentimes, in as little as one session, a true transformation occurs, and someone's life is changed forever. These sessions may last for two to three hours, but may be the only one required. Other issues are more diversified, standing on multiple "legs," and require a series of sessions. Each client is unique, but I believe therapy should produce results, and clients should at least begin to feel better/more hopeful within three sessions. If not, I am on the wrong track. It is all too easy to blame clients for a lack in progress, but I believe clients have a right to expect more than that.
