Specialize in Couples Counseling
Practice Description: I am a holistic psychotherapist specializing in relationship issues and couples counseling. Although my style of counseling looks fairly traditional, in that we sit in chairs in a comfortable room and talk about things, I draw from a background of a more spiritual approach than some therapists. I was a Massage Therapist for 17 years prior to becoming a psychotherapist, and have been a meditator for over 20 years. I also firmly believe that each of us is a creative soul and, if for nothing else, we can draw from that source to create the lives we want.

Clients come to me for a variety of reasons, many of which are listed below, but primarily because they are hurting or struggling with a resistant issue they haven't been able to resolve on their own. I've found that most people I work with make significant changes in their lives. Part of my job is to hold the space of knowing that these changes are possible, they are do-able, and offer suggestions for how the client can get there, and make them happen. Over time some of these changes have been remarkable, to the extent that even the clients themselves are sometimes astonished to see how different their lives have become. How improved their lives have become.

I welcome you to visit my website (www.bethstrong.com) to read more about my work, although my work develops and deepens faster than my website does - (but I'm working on it!) I work primarily with individuals and couples, and adolescents when it's a good fit. I also plan to add a new way for couples to "dip their toes in the water" of therapy by offering teleclasses, especially convenient for couples with busy lifestyles, children, or even couples who live outside the Denver area.

I also do phone sessions (therapy) for people when meeting in person is not a possibility. Although I generally prefer face to face sessions, more people from out of state have found they benefit by working with me in this way. This is particularly helpful for people who live in small towns or for other reasons may wish to work with someone other than from their home location.

If you have an issue you don't see referenced here, it's worth a phone call to see if I might be able to help you. I know you are deeper and more complex than a webpage - so am I.

Should it feel right to you, I look forward to meeting you!
