| Practice Description: |
NEW S.F. OFFICE OPENING 9/2008 Each individual's suffering is unique. You may feel lost, struggling with a pervasive sense of not knowing who you are or where you're headed. Perhaps depression and anxiety make it difficult for you to embrace your life fully, and in spite of your best efforts, your relationships seem to unravel and you encounter difficulties in your work. You may find that you are impatient and unkind to yourself. Examining these experiences and their impact on your life can open up the door to discovering new ways of relating to yourself and others, and the flexibility to live life differently.
I will respect the strengths that you bring to our endeavor, and treat your experience with curiosity and interest. I will be direct, warm, and kind, will offer you my thoughts and observations generously, and will carefully pace our work to match your needs. Finally, I will trust in our unfolding relationship to provide a secure space where your thoughts, feelings, and the patterns that have marked your life can emerge and be understood.
I provide both long-term, depth psychotherapy and brief, insight-oriented treatment, depending on your needs. I will keep your treatment goals in mind and stay focused on helping you to resolve the issues that trouble you. I work with people at least once weekly in order to provide consistency in the treatment and an opportunity to explore in depth what is causing you to suffer.
Please contact me to determine if you and I are a good match to embark on this work together.
