| Practice Description: |
I have over 25 years of clinical experience working with a wide range of individuals, couples, and groups. I am open-minded, warm, have a good sense of humor, and work well with many different kinds of people. I see many people suffering from anxiety and depression about their relationships, and I frequently work with couples wondering whether to continue in them or not. I have had success helping many clients become healthier and more confident and make better, more informed decisions about their lives.
Since 1989 I have been leading interpersonal learning groups. As a former Board Member, Experience Group Leader, and workshop presenter for the Northeastern Society for Group Psychotherapy, I've also coordinated group therapy training sessions for clinicians wanting to learn more about working with groups and have presented many workshops in group practice both locally and nationally at group therapy conferences.
Additional areas of expertise are in substance abuse evaluation and treatment and anger management issues. Having had extensive EAP experience, I also work with employees around specific work-related concerns. Having both inpatient mental health and addiction treatment experience, I am able to offer consultation regarding both acute and ongoing concerns.
Being a poet, I also have a particular interest in coaching others on their creative development. I write and publish poetry, as well as give readings.
I am happy to provide a free telephone interview.
