| Practice Description: |
For 27 years I have provided effective and compassionate treatment for adults, couples and adolescents. I am trained in both Western and Eastern psychology. My psychology Internship at Harvard Medical School and Doctorate from the University of Denver provided me with expertise in a wide range of emotional and behavioral difficulties. I am fortunate to receive consistently positive feedback from my clients.
All clients are treated with compassion, warmth and respect. As Past Chair of the Ethics Committee of the Colorado Psychological Association, I conduct my practice at the highest ethical and professional standards.
Each client's needs are unique. I draw on my training in psychoanalytic, cognitive behavioral and family systems theories to create a plan that will work best for you. My training in mindfulness meditation and Eastern psychology adds a dimension to my work which can help you learn to quiet an overactive mind and to live more fully in the present.
Psychotherapy is a collaboration, therefore I welcome and value feedback from my clients. Finding the right therapist can be daunting. Feel free to visit my website, drwmedwards.com, to learn more about me. Call or email me with your questions and to have a brief talk to help us determine if we might be a good fit.
