| Practice Description: |
Working with me you will feel listened to, respected as the expert on your life. Together we will work towards your feeling more aware and in control of your emotional triggers and needs. You will learn to recognize cycles you get caught in, strive towards more effective control of your center while decreasing intensity and anxiety. You will feel strengthened, better able to use the impact that you have as an agent of change within your significant relationships and family. I bring very personable, attentive, hands on interactive approach to my work with men, women and children starting at age five. My interest in human potential and growth is limitless. I believe that a therapeutic relationship enables a safe, personal exploration as different problems become too raw to deal with alone.
I explore hurt, betrayal, infidelity by focusing on the relationship and making this a reciprocal transgression to the relationship. I help the betrayer reach better understanding of the pain and intolerable incomprehension he has caused his or her partner. I also address the intensity and sense of loss that the betrayed must now live through, the disappointment and decisions that might ensue and the consequence that perhaps one can forgive but never forget. That in itself becomes a factor in the work the couple must do to trust each other again. Grief and trauma due to loss are explored as they often lead to anxiety and depression, even debilitating panic episodes that can lead to other loss, such as loss of job, friends, etc. I pay close attention to frustration, stressors and communication roadblocks which have lowered self-esteem and inner resources. Life's unexpected blows and heartbreaks frequently alter one's ability to effectively cope in relationships within families and work while struggling to keep one afloat.
