Bowen Family Systems therapy guides my practice. I completed three years of post-graduate training at the Georgetown Family Center. I work with clients to understand the context of their distress within the broader relationship system of which they are a part. This involves helping them identify and address patterns they inherited from their family of origin that are a strength as well as those that they would wish to alter. Mutual respect between client and therapist is a guiding principle.
