| Practice Description: |
"To feel more real we have to push ourselves into the unknown." Beginning therapy can feel like entering unknown territory. We all need a way of healing that vast emptiness. In my practice I like to use it as a rich source of transformation. Often the turmoil itself contains a kernel of its own cure. I specialize in the following issues: problematic life changes, depression, adoption issues, trauma, anxiety, aging and recovery issues. I am familiar with 12 Step Programs and enjoy working with people who are working the steps. I am able to explore and assist people with various gender issues and issues of coming out. Work problems, social competence and relationship issues are also specialties of mine. I am interested in dreams and the creative process, and sometimes use writing, art and meditation in the therapy. I have an ongoing Pet Loss Bereavement Group in formation, and a therapy dog who is available for Animal Assisted Therapy sessions, if needed and/or applicable.
