| Practice Description: |
I have enjoyed practicing for over 20 years, and my clients include adults of all ages, children and relationship issues. My career has evolved from a one treatment approach to more of an integrative approach, I prefer to utilize various theories in order to more effectively help people. Life experiences, especially growing up in our families, whatever composition that may be, influences our lives every day. Some of our behaviors are based on our logical thinking, and then some of our behaviors are influenced by unconscious thoughts. There are different types of treatment approaches to specific problems, I treat both short term and longer term issues. Longer term issues require 2 to 3 times a week frequency in order to appropriately and effectively treat the problems and provide the necessary support.
Although I graduated in 1987, I continue to attend classes and programming to increase my knowledge and improve my strengths. My work has focused on adults of all ages: children and families, college and university students. Issues include: depression & anxiety, various life changes, dysfunctions within their own family of origin, not reaching their true potential, low self-esteem issues, mothers who are experiencing anxiety/depression and a fear of not bonding with their child, and relationship issues.
