I specialize in the areas of eating disorders, trauma, depression, anxiety, relational issues, and women's issues. I am dedicated to providing a safe, non-revictimizing, healthy environment to allow individuals to heal. Each individual is treated with respect and compassion.
When I first meet with a client, an initial evaluation takes place which precipitates a treatment plan that the client and I develop together. Modalities used are cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, insight-oriented, and supportive therapy. I often employ the use of relapse prevention work and the acting out cycle.
I have over 18 years of experience as a licensed psychotherapist. I have specialized in the field of eating disorders and trauma based disorders, both inpatient and outpatient since 1990. I maintained a successful private practice in New Orleans, where I am originally from before moving to Charlotte, NC in 1998.
