Critical Incident Stress Debriefing
Employee Assistance Counseling
I graduated in 1993 from the University of Detroit Mercy with a master of arts degree in clinical psychology. Through advanced training and experience I specialized in the treatment of stress, anxiety, psychological trauma, substance abuse, domestic violence, depression, and women's issues. I provide individual and group psychotherapy for adults. At times, I will provide individual psychotherapy for the younger population experiencing anxiety or after experiencing some type of psychological trauma.
Treatment is patient centered and problem focused. The first few sessions are dedicated to symptom reduction, education, and empowerment. Treatment plans are formulated from patient identified goals, thereby providing a measurement of overall treatment effectiveness.
I stay up to date on the latest research and use the most effective treatment methods supported by research. This frequently reduces the number of therapy sessions to achieve the desired results.
