Practice Description: Is your child or adolescent struggling at home or at school due to behavioral or learning problems? Is your child feeling anxious, depressed, or pressured socially which is causing them distress? Are you tired of feeling stressed, worried, and frustrated, searching for ways to help yet nothing seems to be working?

I understand the kind of family stress and pain that can occur when a child or teen is struggling. Your child, and family can regain a sense of harmony, balance, and hope -- and I'd like to assist you in achieving that. My approach helps children and teens feel confident, encouraged, and empowered as they begin to improve behaviorally, grow emotionally, and move closer to meeting their goals.

For close to two decades, I have helped children and adolescents: manage anger/conflict positively; reduce and extinguish anxiety, depression, and mood swings; develop healthy alternatives to substance use; address stress, anger, and loss that come from divorce; learn positive, respectful communication skills; and generally feel better. By creating a safe, caring, supportive environment, I can help your child and family bridge relational gaps; restore communication, flexibility, warmth, closeness, and strong attachments.

Finding out that your child has a learning disability can be a very stressful time for parents. It can be a daunting task, navigating the special education system and finding the right school services for your child. I provide support and guidance by attending school meetings (SST, IEP) and by working collaboratively with teachers and school staff to ensure your child is in the most beneficial learning environment.

Being a parent myself, I understand that finding relief for a child in need becomes an important priority. That is why I invite you to contact me so that we can begin the healing process and discuss the best way I can support, comfort, and help your child and family.
