....I specialize in helping people who wish to develop a more satisfying life.
Over the past 20 plus years of being a psychotherapist, I have learned that each person I work with is unique with their own pattern of thinking, feeling, behaving and relating. This pattern has developed over their lifetime to help them get along psychologically, first in the family he or she grew up in, and then in the larger world outside. Unfortunately, some patterns developed earlier in life may no longer be effective and in fact, may create problems in growing and living a fulfilling life. I view psychotherapy as a collaborative process where the client and I are working together to gain greater insight and understanding of what is working and not working in their lives and possibly why. It is through this greater awareness where I believe people then can begin to change.
I work with individuals and couples, and because of my training and experience, I am comfortable addressing a number of issues and problems. Therapy often begins with clients wanting to address problems in their relationships or possibly symptoms of anxiety, depression, rage or longer standing personality issues such as, social anxiety and avoidance.
