| Practice Description: |
Are you struggling with any of the following?: Anxiety, depression, relationship or marital problems, self-esteem issues, work difficulties, problems adjusting to loss and other life changes, or obsessive-compulsive behaviors. Often, clients call me when stresses in their lives have increased, and they're having difficulty coping. Such stresses include: an unhappy or failing relationship or marriage, a job loss or increased work stress, or a lack of rewarding relationships in one's life. Most importantly, my 30+ years as a psychologist have taught me that everyone I work with is a unique individual.
I use cognitive therapy and stress management techniques to help clients learn new ways to think, feel, and act in their relationships, their work, and their personal lives. This can help people let go of emotional burdens like depression, fears, anger, and loneliness that trouble them in their everyday lives
I start out by working to reduce shame, guilt, or feelings of failure clients may have about seeking help. Clients benefit from my training in both insight-oriented therapy - helping them become aware of the influences of the past - and cognitive therapy, focused on achieving positive change in the present.
