| Practice Description: |
Do you feel disempowered? Is the chatter in your mind keeping you from embracing the now? Do you always feel the need to apologize?
I work with individuals and couples who: *Want help with having better relationships. *Have a strong desire to remove some unhealthy blocks and grow. *Want to increase their self esteem.
I have experience working with individuals and couples who are confronted with depression, anxiety, issues stemmed from past trauma, career concerns, and addictions. In addition, I specialize in working with the GLBT population plus same sex couples.
I see the goal of therapy as awareness through insight. This is achieved through traditional talk therapy, role plays or dramas, mindfulness, meditation, and paying attention to the here and now. In collaborating together, we will determine your own goals for therapy and we will "check in" periodically to see if those goals have changed.
Choosing a therapist can be pretty overwhelming and scary. What can be even scarier is facing your own self alone. I will help guide you along this journey. Peeling the layers takes a great deal of courage and building our relationship will prove to be the foundation from which this strength will come.
If you are interested in contacting me, please call or email and we can set up a short initial consultation over the phone before making the decision to meet. This is your therapy and your decision, and choosing your therapist is an important step.
“I do my thing and you do yours. I am not in this world to live up to your expectations, and you are not in this world to live up to mine. You are you and I am I, and if by chance we find each other, then it is beautiful. If not, it can't be helped.”-Fritz Perls
