| Practice Description: |
I help people to better understand their emotional and interpersonal life - that is, the ways that you relate to yourself and to others. This improved self-understanding can lead to many desired changes: from feeling better about yourself to coping more effectively with life's challenges; from developing closer, more intimate relationships to finding greater satisfaction in your career.
I have a general therapy practice and provide individual therapy and couples counseling for a broad range of concerns. I bring a thoughtful, warm and collaborative style to my work. My orientation is psychodynamic, the oldest and most common type of therapy with proven efficacy.
My office is located in the Laurel Heights neighborhood of San Francisco, also convenient to southern Marin. Please see my website has additional information about my services, approach, background and fees.

I have dual training as a psychotherapist and as a clinical pharmacist specializing in psychiatry. While my work with people focuses on psychological growth through psychotherapy, I have extensive training and clinical experience related to the use of psychiatric medications. I am comfortable working with people who are taking medications for mental health-related issues and I am quite knowledgeable when it comes to helping people sort through the pro’s and con’s of taking medication, pursuing psychotherapy, or both. |

| Fee Schedule: |
Most of my practice is private pay as I have elected not to join any health insurance panels. Please call me to discuss my current fee. I do offer limited sliding scale appointments based on income and ability to pay. If you need a reduced fee, I encourage you to let me know. If I cannot accommodate your financial situation, I will try my best to assist you in finding appropriate referrals. |
| Insurance and Billing Instructions: |
If your health insurance carrier allows you to choose an out-of-network provider (generally a PPO plan), I can provide you with a statement of services so that you can seek reimbursement. You may want to check with your carrier to verify coverage for out-of-network providers and for rates of reimbursement. |
